Help us celebrate Independent Bookstore Day at the Midtown Scholar! This one-day national event will feature family-friendly programs, author signings, blind-date-with-a-book, exclusive sales, and of course, adoptable dogs! Nirvana adopter and local author and illustrator Lauren Castillo will be here from 10am-12pm for a story time and signing of her new children’s picture book, Just Like Millie. Of course, we’ll be on site with lots of dogs and puppies looking for forever homes!

Join us for a fun afternoon of bingo to benefit a the rescue! While several games of bingo are going on inside, we’ll have adoptable dogs outside, merchandise for sale, and food and drinks available for purchase inside. The Shermans Creek Inn is a 21 and over facility, but kids are welcome to hang outside with us and the pups! Inside, there will be tons of prizes up for grabs during bingo, including a brand new Chromebook courtesy of Prismworks Technology Inc! Join us at Ever Grain Brewing Co. on St. Patrick's Day! Our adoptable dogs and puppies will be on site and are hoping the luck of the Irish finds them their forever families! This location is kid-friendly, and leashed dogs are permitted in the outdoor courtyard.

We’ll be joining the Merry Merchants outdoor holiday market with 30+ local vendors, cozy food & drink options, and holiday music from local artists! Get a jump on gift shopping while supporting our adoptable pups.

We are so excited to join Benny’s Pet Foundation’s annual PawtoberFest – Pet Appreciation Day! The event will feature adoptable pets from us and other local rescues and shelters, pet related vendors, pet food suppliers, food trucks, a pet costume contest, pet parade, DJ, raffle table, 50/50 drawing, and so much more!

Join us for an amazing time that the entire family will love at The Dream at Bloomfield Stables of Perry County! All of your shopping delights from over 75 different vendors, food truck, cotton candy, raffle prizes, and FREE pony rides! Best of all, we will be in attendance with adoptable dogs and puppies. Join us for the 18th Annual Woofstock Festival, the largest festival on the east coast for dogs and their humans! WoofStock draws a crowd of thousands for this one-day festival of fun!

Coffee & dogs... is there a better combination?! Bring your pups and spend the day at the 3rd Wind Coffee taproom. On this special day, 3rd Wind Coffee Co. donates 25% of their profits to Watson's Wish Foundation to help dogs get life-saving surgeries and procedures! We’ll be there from 12-2pm with a few adoptable dogs.

What to expect: 3rd Wind Coffee taproom will be open, serving up delicious cold brew on tap, specialty drinks, chai, a special cold brew for the day, and more! There will be limited edition cheesecakes inspired by Watson's Wish Foundation & puppy cheesecakes (thank you Sweet Dreams Cheesecake Emporium)! Son of a Butcher food truck will be on-site from 10 am - 3 pm, serving up delicious BBQ, Mac & cheese, and more! Tammy Erb Photography will be on-site until noon to snap pictures of you and your furry friend(s)! Additionally, we will be having a raffle for a bundle of a large Yeti cooler (cosmic lilac color), 46 oz. Yeti water bottle (cosmic lilac color), and other items!

Linda Zimmerman, local author of “Sadie and Her New Wheels,” will be signing copies of her new book at Fresh Market at Hershey Towne Square! We will be in attendance with several adoptable dogs. Come check out the new farmers’ market, grab a bite to eat in the food court, and of course, meet some of our adorable adoptables!

Join us at Three Dog Bakery in Mechanicsburg to meet some of our adoptable pups! Three Dog Bakery and Lawrence Chevrolet will be collecting donations of food for us so stop by the bakery and buy a bag of food to donate to the dogs in our care. We hope to see you there!

We will be joining Woof Pack Disc Dogs at their May 21 event! Come out and meet our adorable adoptable pups and watch some dogs competing in disc events. We hope to see you there!

Petapalooza is a free event that features lovable, adoptable homeless animals from shelters and rescues in the Central PA area. We focus on ALL animal rescues at Petapalooza featuring dogs, cats, and more! In addition to helping animal rescues, we also focus on being an animal-friendly festival with vendors, raffles, live music, and food trucks.
