San is a beautiful 1 year old, 63 lbs pittie mix searching for a family of her own! She already spent 400 days out of her short life in the county animal control facility, but those days are behind her now that she's joined Nirvana. First arriving as a 6-month old stray, she unfortunately caught parvo while in the shelter and had to be hospitalized. She recovered and was able to go home with her owner, only to show back up as a stray again a few months later. This time, her owner reclaimed her male companion but left San behind.  During her time at the shelter, San became a staff and volunteer favorite. She earned the role of tester dog, used as the first dog new intakes were introduced to. Despite everything going for her, she was overlooked time and time again, until her time was up. We're so grateful we were able to save her life and can't wait to find her the very best forever family! 

San is a sweet and happy girl who loves all people and dogs she's met. She tested well with cats while in the shelter, but we have not yet seen her live with them yet. Living in a home is new to San, but she's already done great with crate training and is picking up on house training. She's food motivated and eager to please her humans, so continuing the rest of her basic training will be a breeze!
